Lotus in the Mountain - Paperback

by Linn Coldiron (Author)

When it comes to magic, secrets rule. For Mia and Derek, those secrets will destroy them.

Empath and fledgling mage, Derek, never meant to hide his powers from his twin sister. But after seventeen years of lies, he can't reveal them now. Even when he falls ill. Even when his dreams speak of untold horrors. Even when a mysterious woman with red eyes repeatedly tries to kill him.

He has to protect his sister from a world she isn't part of.

Except Mia has secrets too. For instance, the blond woman stalking her and the glowing knife in a mysterious cave. Or, most exhausting of all, the new boy in school who knows a little too much about magic. She can't involve Derek. He wouldn't understand.

As the mystery of the red-eyed woman pushes Derek to his limits, Mia can't trust her brother with her newfound knowledge. Both are spiraling down separate, dark paths. But those paths are more entwined than they know. If they aren't careful, their secrets will shatter not only their relationship, but the safety and security they've always known. If those secrets haven't already.
